Michael Van de Elzen (Ex Molten / TVNZ Food Truck) was at Hallertau Brewery for a 6 course, beer and wine matched degustation meal. Beer mad boutique brewer Steve Plowman selected the brews from his own Hallertau range. He went head to head with local winemaker Corey Hall whose selection was drawn from his Harwood Hall & Gem Wine labels. Diners were to vote on which beverage matches best with each course. Corey Hall is the defending champion from their previous encounter. What a fierce but fun competition. This event was a part of a celebration of New Zealand’s finest food, craft beer & wine.
