Cheese is my favorite way to end a meal ! I cant think of anything better than a cheeseboard and a good glass of sticky!

Here are a few of my favorites!

Gorgonzola from Italy

Made from Cows Milk.
Originally these cheeses were produced in caves in their respective areas where mold was naturally present.
DOP (Protected Designation of Origin )
Is one of the oldest Blue Vein Cheeses.

I love to eat gorgonzola… simply with pear jam or spread on toast!

Washed Rind Cheese

Often called a “smelly Cheese”!
Have been made in Europe since the middle ages.
The cheese is bathed or scrubbed with saltwater brine or wine to encourage growth internally.
Taleggio is a well known wash rind cheese, delicious melted slightly on top of Mushrooms on toast!

Parmesan ” The king of cheeses “

First produced by Monks a thousand years ago. This hard grainy cheese is cooked and not pressed. One of the most widely used cheeses in the world.
Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana padano are the best!

The great thing about good parmesan is you only need a little to go along way!

A very versatile cheese, used for pastas, soups, risottos, salads, sauces etc.
